Our Mill
We make the fabric first.
Most brands begin with a fabric someone else made. We begin earlier.
Court & Coastal is made in our own mill. The yarn, the knit, the weight, the finish. Those are decisions we make, not options we pick from a catalogue. When a piece feels the way it does, that was chosen months before it reached you.
Chosen for the feel.
We knit for hand-feel first. Soft against the skin. Breathable through a long day.
Substantial enough to hold its shape through a season of wear and washing.
It is a slower way to make clothes. It is also the only way to be certain.
Certified
Tested, not just described.
Our fabrics are independently certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Every component of the garment, from the yarn to the thread to the trims, is tested against a list of substances known to be harmful to human health.
It is a certification we renew, not a claim we make.
Our Pricing
One markup, not four.
A typical garment passes through a mill, then a manufacturer, then a brand, then a retailer. Each one takes a margin.
We are the mill and the manufacturer, so the piece reaches you having been marked up once instead of four times.
That is why our prices look the way they do. Not a sale. Not a promotion. Just a shorter path.
One wardrobe, the whole day.
Court & Coastal is built around the way a day actually moves. Court-ready in the morning. Easy through the afternoon. Soft enough for the evening.
Athletic heritage, without the uniform.
Behind the Label
Who we are.
Court & Coastal is made by Spruce International, a manufacturer based in Santa Monica, California. We have made fabric for other people's labels for years. Court & Coastal is what happens when we make it for our own.
